Two cargo carriers collided off Ningde, Fujian province, in the evening of 6 July.
Chang Fu Xing, a 5,107 dwt vessel carrying ferronickel with 13 crew members, and 15,500 dwt Hong Wei 298 ferrying anthracite coal with 18 crew members collided at Guanjingyang, east off Ningde.
The fore peak of Chang Fu Xing was damaged, causing it to take in water. However, all 31 crew members on board both vessels are safe.
Ningde maritime and rescue centre has inspected both ships for damage and released a traffic alert to passing-by vessels.
Both ships are in stable condition and no oil spill has been reported, stated local authority. Investigation into the accident is under way.
