China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International has secured the option on an LNG ro-pax originally ordered in the second half of 2014. Ordered by Sweden’s oldest Passenger shipping Company Rederi AB Gotland the second 1,650 passenger vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2018.
Both vessels will run on LNG, with significant environmental improvement including hull lines to give best possible energy consumption and environmental impact.
The first 199.99m LOA vessel is scheduled for delivery in early 2017.
