Malaysian offshore services provider Icon Offshore has secured a contract worth MYR55 million (USD14.5 million) to supply two anchor handling tug/supply vessels (AHTS) to an oil major.
The contract was signed by its wholly owned subsidiary Icon Offshore Group.
Under the contract, both vessels will deploy for two years, with an option to extend deployment for another year.
Icon Offshore said in its filing to Bursa Malaysia that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the company for the financial year ending on 31 December 2015.

In May Icon Offshore secured a long-term charter contract worth MYR99 million with Brunei-based Zell Transportation (Zell).
Under the contract, Icon Offshore’s wholly owned subsidiary Icon Bahtera will charter an accommodation workboat and crew to Zell for two years, with an option to extend it for another year.
