SRI made an intervention at the 99th session IMO Legal Committee on the subject of fair treatment of seafarers in the event of a maritime accident. SRI informed the Committee of a survey it had conducted over a 12 month period ending in February 2012 concerning the experiences of seafarers facing criminal charges.
