Shanghai-listed Ningbo Marine announced on 13 July that its president Chu Min has resigned because of a job change.
Chu has also quit as the director of strategic committee, and the board agreed that vice-president Yao Cheng will step up until a new president is selected.
Born in 1956, Chu is a senior economist and has been the general manager of Ningbo Ocean Shipping, the director, and the general manager of Ningbo Marine (Group). He became the president of Ningbo Marine in April 2012.
Yao, 45, started his career as a teacher at PLA University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining Ningbo Marine, he worked for Shanghai Huqingping Highway Construction Company and Ningbo Beilun Port Highway Company. He became the vice-president of Ningbo Marine in April 2015.

In a filing to Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company’s largest shareholder, Ningbo Marine (Group) has recommended general manager Chen Mingdong as a candidate for president.
Chen, born in 1970, is a senior accountant and has worked in the financial department for several companies in Zhejiang province. Before joining Ningbo Marine, he was the general manager of a financial leasing company under the Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group.
