Pursuant to the goal of continuously strengthening the MLC, the ILO Special Tripartite Committee will meet between 5 – 13 May 2022 to consider additional amendments to the Convention. The Committee will discuss twelve proposed amendments to the MLC. Seafarers and shipowners’ groups jointly submitted five proposals; the seafarers’ group presented a further five requests while government representatives advanced two suggestions.
