Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group announced on 29 July that Jiang Qiang was named as the new CEO replacing Liang Xiaolei, and Wang Jianding will be the group’s new Chief Operation Officer (COO).
The company also stated that Wang Xingru will no longer serve as the company’s co-CEO.
Liang is the chair of Evergreen Holding Group, the parent company of Sinopacific, chair and CEO of Sinopacific, as well as chair of Sinopacific Offshore. Liang and his father started their business in 1996, and entered the shipbuilding industry in 2003.
Wang Xingru joined Sinopacific in August 2014 from COSCO Pacific. Before his career in Sinopacific, he has worked as the general manager of COSCO Shipyard and COSCO Pacific.

Jiang Qiang was previously co-CEO of the group. Graduated from Zhejiang University in 1983, Jiang has worked for the People’s Liberation Army until October 1998. Prior to joining Sinopacific, he was the president of Guangdong Electronics Information Industry Group, and the general manager of Fenghua Advanced Technology. Jiang is currently the president and vice-chairman of Evergreen Holding Group.
The new COO Wang Jiangding was previously the chief production officer of Sinpacific. Wang Jiangding, with a MBA degree from Sinte Gleska University, has been involved in the shipbuilding industry since 1984. He has worked at Jiangnan Shipyard and Jiangnan Steel Structure before he joined in Sinopacific in 2007.
