Taiwan’s top carriers – Wan Hai, Yang Ming, and Evergreen – have recorded improved revenue for the first half of 2015 (1H15).
Wan Hai posted TWD33.6 billion (USD1.1 billion) revenue for the January-June period, up 7.12% or TWD2.2 billion from a year earlier. However, the carrier’s June revenue dipped 2.89% from a year ago to TWD5.4 billion.
Yang Ming’s revenue for 1H15 stood at TWD65.7 billion, up 5.15% from a year ago. Similar to Wan Hai, Yang Ming’s June revenue dropped 7.04% year on year to TWD11.4 billion.

Evergreen, Taiwan’s largest container line, recorded revenue of TWD70.1 billion for the 1H15, up just 0.89% from the revenue of TWD69.5 billion a year ago. Its June revenue was TWD11.6 billion, up 3.42% year on year.
