The Grand Harbour of Valletta hosted no less than five cruise ships bringing with them some 14,000 passengers on 22 July.
This year is set to be a record year for the Maltese port in terms of cruise passengers, with an estimated 640,000 visitors on the 325 ships due.
Studies commissioned by Valletta Cruise Port estimate that the cruise industry contributes EUR82.81 million (USD91 million) a year to the Maltese economy.
