A fire broke out at the Shau Kei Wan typhoon shelter in Hong Kong on 27 September, injuring five people and damaging nine vessels.
Private yachts and fishing vessels at the shelter’s anchorage were damaged in the incident, as vessels on fire drifted towards other vessels in the vicinity.
Five people are receiving treatment at a local hospital for excessive smoke inhalation.
Authorities have classified the fire as a Level 3 fire, although the cause of the fire has not been ascertained, reported local media.
