Global container shipping volume is likely to grow at the low end of the 3% to 5% range, according to the Danish transportation and energy conglomerate AP Maersk-Moller (APMM).
“The volume growth forecast of 3% to 5% is retained, but we expect the growth to be at the low end of the range,” said Trond Westlie, chief financial officer of the Copenhagen-based company that owns Maersk Line, in the group’s first quarter 2015 interim result presentation webcast.
APMM believes global container shipping volume to have grown by 1% during the first quarter.
